Haven kids

Here is my crew of folks from the orphanage. They're all making their own individual way here at GWA. It's fun to see them and work with them more.

Moonrise

Obviously this picture does the moon no justice whatsoever! However, the dim lights you see are from a city of 4 million people. The moon is very large in comparison! It was quite impressive to the naked eye.

Basketball

I am helping out with the high school team this year. The team certainly wouldn't compete in America, however, it's nice to have girls out there playing games.

Eid-Kbir

40 days after Ramadan ends, Moroccans celebrate with a slaughter. Here are a few pictures taken during that weekend. I spent most of my time in the little village where I used to teach. My friend Fatima is washing some guts in the stream, her mom is toasting some heads on the fire, and her brother is skinning the lamb. The moped with a sheep was taken in Casa a few days before the slaughter.

Scavengers

It's always fun to see cows picking through the trash in residential neighborhoods.

Beach Day

The high school had a beach day down in front of the school a ways. Here are several of my chic students in their beach gear.

Teaching

Here I am in the classroom with some 10th graders
